Topographical "Ledger" Art (Click on any of the thumbnails for a closer look)

Each is a unique work of Art, painted on a unique map. I have a collection of topographic maps, road atlases and marine charts, from which I select a map for the subject I will paint on it, incorporating features of the map into the painting. For example, in the "Teepee" paintings, I used bodies of water to represent smoke.
Note: All are Matted and Framed under glass. Size indicated is overall size of framed work.

Canvas Art (Click on any of the thumbnails for a closer look)

Each canvas is a unique work of Art that can be hung, framed or unframed. I am inspired by the architecture, flora, fauna and sky of the Southwest United States. In most cases, I leave the framing to the buyer. However, occasionally I come across a unique frame which inspires my subject, such as the "Lizard". I acquired the ornate Mexican frame at an East Hampton Estate Sale last summer and it sat on my "to do" pile, until my husband recently returned from SE Asia with his photograph of the perfect subject for it.
